Something to Chew Over: CFRE has 3 presentations at the AIFS Snack Sized Research Showcase

Something to Chew Over: CFRE has 3 presentations at the AIFS Snack Sized Research Showcase.

This year, the much anticipated Australian Insititute of Family Studies (AIFS) 2020 conference was cancelled due to COVID-19. To replace it, presentations that were planned for the conference are now being displayed as slide shows online. CFRE have three presentations in this AIFS ‘snack sized research showcase’. Ready Steady Family outlines a flexible approach to promoting parental mental health in the transition to parentood.  We Deserve focusses on family violence prevention with trans and gender diverse communities. The final presentation explores risk factors for family violence among LGBTIQ+ people in the transition to parenthood. Consisting of 5 slides each, these ‘snack sized’ presentations overview some of the work that we do here at drummond street services. All three programs highlight the emphasis that drummond street places on preventation and early intervention as an effective way of ensuring wellbeing for life.
