The Centre for Family Research and Evaluation (CFRE) is the training, research and evaluation arm of Drummond Street Services and brings its 50-year history of supporting, advocating for, and affirming LGBTIQA+ individuals and diverse communities. CFRE has used applied research and evaluation to contribute to the evidence base around LGBTIQA+ issues & intersectional practice. It does this by integrating evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches, building capacity, and engaging in applied research.
Our training team utilises their wide array of lived experience alongside practice expertise and knowledge of theory to deliver services that support learning and growth. We provide learners with a safe and inclusive environment in which to explore and contextualise topics that are underpinned by evidence and grounded in robust theoretical frameworks.
We specialise in LGBTIQA+ communities, intersectional practice, working with diverse communities and family violence, offering training, capacity building, consultation, workforce development, strategic planning, organisational change and implementation.
If you have a specific project, outcome or training request please get in touch and we can support you in recognising gaps, assessing needs and identifying strengths to tailor our services to your goals.
In our long-standing commitment to advancing the knowledge and evidence base for LGBTIQA+ and marginalised communities CFRE is proud to offer a range of specialist trainings:
